Jacuzzi’s Party for the Big Game Day
/in Hot Tubs/by uniquepspThe Big Game is coming up, and that means parties are in the works. There’s no better way to celebrate football’s biggest day than with an afternoon split between cheering on touchdowns and relaxing in the comfort of your hot tub. Here, we’ve collected some ideas on how to incorporate your hot tub into the party:
PLAY GAMES
A football-themed game embraces the mood of the day and gives your guests a way to pass the time during commercials. Here are a few of our favorite games to get the party started:
- Hot Potato: Arrange your guests in a rough circle in your Jacuzzi® Hot Tub. Toss a mini football in a clockwise direction while music plays. When the music stops, the person holding the hot potato at the time is eliminated and must leave the hot tub. The last person in the hot tub wins.
- Fiki Football: Set up the Fiki Football goalpost on one end of the hot tub. Guests use their fingers to flick the triangle-shaped football across the hot tub and attempt to “score” over the goalposts. Allow each guest three passes; whoever wins gets a prize, such as a plush football or a drink.
- Pass the Cup: Everyone gets an assortment of casino chips. The person holding the cup picks a play associated with the football game–for example, a touchdown or an offside call. The cup is passed around, and everyone adds a chip. When a touchdown or offside call occurs in the live game, the person holding the cup at the time is victorious. Once the party has moved indoors or is winding down, the winners receive money (for example, quarters) in equal amount to the number of casino chips in the cup when they were holding it.
Looking for more fun to keep the party going? Here are three other games you can play in your hot tub.
BRING IT OUTSIDE
Sometimes watching is the only entertainment you need. Enjoy the game and its commercials from the comfort of your hot tub. Even if you don’t have a television mounted outside, you can still bring one outdoors for this special occasion, or open the windows and doors of your house so you can hear the broadcast. Depending on your cable provider, you may also be able to stream the broadcast on a portable device like a tablet or smartphone propped up outside.
BE A GOOD HOST
Provide finger foods in individual servings so everyone is kept happy and fed without worrying about getting in and out of the hot tub and missing parts of the game. We suggest veggie sticks or chips in cups of dip, or fruit bowls in plastic containers. Before the party, craft some beverages and pour them into mason jars with lids so your guests can stay hydrated. Finally, stock up on guest towels in the colors of the teams playing in the Big Game. Keep them in a towel warmer to ensure your guests will be able to step from your hot tub into a warm, comfortable towel in no time.
The Big Game is an excellent time of year to host a party. Make the most of your Jacuzzi® Hot Tub and the natural excitement this event brings, and may your favorite team win.
